Born a visionary and natural leader, Scott Sheldon had dreams of expanding the family business into something extraordinary. After working closely with his father and mastering the trade, Scott took the bold step to grow Sheldon & Sons into the thriving company it is today. A proud graduate of the University of Maryland Baltimore County with a degree in economics, Scott paid his way through college by serving his country in the National Guard, exemplifying his dedication to hard work and community.
For more than 30 years, Scott has been happily married to his wife, and together they have built a close-knit family with their children and grandchildren.
Beyond his role as a family man and successful business owner, Scott is also a trusted friend and community activist, dedicated to giving back and fostering connections that strengthen the local area.
With 14 trucks and 24 employees, the company now handles everything from small one-room painting projects and luxury homes to entire office buildings, churches and more. Scott’s commitment to quality, family values, and community impact continues to define Sheldon & Sons as more than just a business—it’s a cornerstone of the community.

Ernie Sheldon
In Loving Memory of Our Founder
Ernie Sheldon, the founder of Sheldon & Sons, started his painting business in 1972. Of Irish descent, he moved to the United States in 1962 and came by his trade naturally, as the son of a painter. A devoted craftsman and family man, Ernie brought his son Scott into the business at the age of 14, passing down not only his skills but also his love for the trade.
In 1996, as Scott's business grew, Ernie joined forces with his son, continuing to lend his expertise and passion to the family-run company. Ernie became a beloved member of the Sheldon & Sons family, known for his warm Irish accent, kind spirit, and unwavering dedication to quality work.
In 2024, we sadly said goodbye to Ernie, but his legacy lives on in every brushstroke and every project we complete. His vision, work ethic, and commitment to excellence continue to inspire us every day. While Ernie is no longer with us, his influence remains at the heart of Sheldon & Sons, where family values and exceptional craftsmanship carry on in his honor.
Jen Lobb-Brown
District Manager
Jen joined Sheldon & Sons as Office Manager in 2015 after an unexpected but perfectly timed career shift. From day one, she took a proactive approach, mastering her initial role and diving deeper into the behind-the-scenes details that keep the business running smoothly.
Today, Jen oversees all proposals and contracts, billing, accounts receivable and payable, marketing, and more. She also works closely with Scott on a variety of projects and business plans, ensuring every aspect of the company operates efficiently. Her focus on managing these critical details allows Sheldon & Sons to maintain its high standards and seamless service.
Outside of work, Jen lives full-time in Florida with her family, along with their two beloved rescue pit bulls, Chance and Dreama. Jen's dedication to both her family and her work embodies the values that make Sheldon & Sons a truly family-oriented business.

Nancy Dannettel

When you step into the offices of Sheldon & Sons, you’ll be greeted by the office cat, Baby—just one of many cats in Nancy’s life! A true cat lover, Nancy has five furry companions at home. But there’s more to Nancy than her love for cats—her dream is to one day take the stage as a stand-up comedian, and her quick wit and sense of humor make every day at Sheldon & Sons lively and fun.
For the 15 years, Nancy has been an essential part of the Sheldon & Sons team, skillfully managing the company’s very busy schedule. Whether coordinating projects, organizing teams, or ensuring every job runs smoothly, Nancy loves her role, especially because, as she jokes, she gets paid to tell men where to go and what to do. With her sharp humor and unmatched organizational skills, Nancy keeps the office running like clockwork and brings joy to everyone she works with.

Her dedication shines through in every interaction, whether she’s helping customers with something, chatting with vendors, staffing our conference booths, or ensuring supplies are ordered and ready to keep operations running smoothly.
